Languages, language locales, as well as source and target language codes (on file names and projects, for example) can be personalized.

Pro tip:
Before creating a new language, make sure it is not already in the default list under another name or ISO code that you are not familiar with. If the list is long, an Excel export may help have a better overall view.

To create or modify a language:

  1. Type in the first letters of its ISO code

  2. Type in an abbreviation for the language and locale code (we recommend using your CAT tool codes)

  3. Add an EN language and locale description.
    Click on the blue + sign to add the French translation of the description.

  4. Enter a different abbreviation for source files only if necessary

  5. Check in the ‘’Communication language’’ box to be able to select this language in resources profiles.
